Welcome to Blandford & District u3a
Welcome to the Blandford & District u3a (B&D u3a). We are based in Blandford Forum but our membership is drawn from villages and communities in and around the beautiful North Dorset area (and beyond in a few cases).
Blandford & District u3a is one of over 1000 u3as in the UK, which give members the opportunity to share many educational, creative and leisure activities. In total, there are over 450,000 members nationwide (correct as at January 2022) and the movement is expanding every year.
B&D u3a was established in 2002 and there are currently about 300 members and around 35 interest groups. We are a lively and friendly group of people with a wide variety of skills and life experiences who are happy to share our knowledge, learn from each other and develop new interests.
Think of it as a Youth Club for people with a lifetime of experience !
Membership is open to those no longer in (and not seeking) full time employment or those in part time employment. Take a few minutes to learn more about us - explore our interest groups in the tabs above - try a couple of sessions (free of charge).
